Definition of Family Office

A family office is a business that manages the wealth and expenditures of one or more high net worth families. A family office is effectively a wealth management company that limits its customer base to a limited number of affluent individual investors. Philanthropy, tax planning, budgeting, and concierge-type services may also be performed by family offices.
